Scattered Data Forms

First I created a form and asked these two questions:
1. How many sports teams do you like?
2. How many sports do you play?
My Form --->
                --->
                --->

After I sent out my form I waited and got back responses, then I attempted to make a scatter plot.

Then I made a scatter plot on graph paper and drew a line of fit.

After doing this I picked two points that are on my line and found the equation of my line. There is almost no correlation between the two categories.

1st Trimester Reflections

1. One thing I am proud of this year in math is I have made A's on both my math tests.
2. One thing I wish I could do better on is homework. I feel like i could be doing a lot better.
3. No, algebra has not really been a challenge this year. I feel like i'm understanding everything we have talked about.
4. I think i have mastered every topic so far in algebra.
5. Two goals i have for the second trimester are to keep getting high 90's on tests and to keep up with homework better

Service learning and math

1. Our social issue for service learning is the environment and art.
2. For service learning we go to the McGill rose garden and sometimes the pond or creek with Mr. Rippey's koinonia.
 3. Math really does not relate to our service learning project except that we measured a board and that uses numbers

Post 3 Adding and subtracting intergers

How to find the answer to these problems:
A) 5+-8   For this problem all you do is take 5 away from 5 and you get zero. Then you take 3 away form zero and get -3. That is your answer.
B) -4+10  For this one you subtract 4 from 10.
C) 4-9 for this one subtract 4 from 4 and the the remaining 5 from zero
D) -8-(-9) for this one you add them together and put a negative sign in front of it.
Games I played

post 1: Math and Web 2.0

Web 2.0 tools
Google Docs: so far this year we have used Google docs for homework assignments and notes/handouts. The value of Google docs is that we don't have to write down our homework every day and you can access it from anywhere in the world there is a computer. Vocab sheet: http://bit.ly/bRHJCq

Google Groups: our google group it tes algebra orange. we can use this for the sharing of notes and homework. It is TESAlgebraOrange.

Twiducate is an eductional version of twitter. we use it for sharing links with eachother such as this blog. so fari have posted about math websites and a bit about me. i think that this is a good resource becauswe can do alot of stuff with it.
